  1. My family prefers to have meals at home. I can cook very well and always help my mother in the kitchen. I can make vegetable and fruit salads, pies and pancakes with different tasty fillings. I like to get up early and help my mother with breakfast. For breakfast we usually have porridge, scrambled eggs, tea with sweet things. I am a student and spend a lot of time at school. From time to time I go to the school canteen. I take chops with boiled potatoes and some vegetable salad. When I don`t want to eat in the canteen I take some tasty things with. They can be fruits, a bun or a sandwich.
    Of course, I enjoy my meal at home with my family on Saturdays and Sundays. My grandparents came from Korea. My mother, my younger sister and I like spicy dishes. But my father is from the Ukraine and he doesn`t like very spicy food. That is why we try to prepare different kinds of dishes of Russian, Korean and Ukrainian cuisine. Very often my mother cooks a soup-noodle according Korean recipe. It is very delicious and tasty. And I cook Ukrainian borsch. My father enjoys it. My sister lays the table with a nice tablecloth, clean plates, spoons, forks and knives. We sit down at the table together. My father smiles and makes jokes on me and my cooking abilities. I don`t feel offended with him, because he has a good sense of humor. He likes to say that eating at a restaurant is a waste of time and money. I completely agree with him.

Мне нравится вставать рано утром и помогать маме, готовить завтрак. На завтрак мы обычно кушаем овсяную кашу, яичницу и пьем чай со сладостями. Я ученица и провожу много времени в школе. Время от времени, я хожу в школьную столовую. Я беру там котлеты с вареным картофелем и немного овощного салата. Когда я не хочу кушать в столовой, я беру с собой немного вкусных вещей. Это могут быть фрукты, булочка или бутерброд.
    Конечно, мне нравится домашняя еда в кругу семьи по субботам и воскресеньям. Мой дедушка и бабушка из Кореи. Моя мама, младшая сестра и я любим острую пищу. Но мой папа из Украины и он не любит острые блюда. Поэтому мы стараемся готовить разнообразные виды блюд русской, корейской и украинской кухни. Очень часто моя мама готовит луп – лапшу по корейскому рецепту. Она очень вкусная. А я готовлю украинский борщ. Мой папа обожает его. Моя сестренка накрывает стол красивой скатертью, ставит чистые тарелки, ножи, вилки. Мы садимся за столвсе вместе. Мой папа улыбается и подшучивает надо мной и моими кулинарными способностями. Я не обижаюсь на него, потому что у него хорошее чувство юмора. Он любит говорить, что кушать в ресторане, пустая трата времени и денег. Я полностью согласна с ним.

  2. Nowadays we live fast. We always go running to everywhere. We are really busy, we work, we have children, we do housework, we study and we have an intense social life.
    We don?t have enough time for us and finally we have bad eating habits because it is faster to cook a hamburger than to cook a good stew. It is faster to eat a sandwich than to eat a big salad.
    A lot of times we need to eat out and fast food is cheaper or we often go out with friends and we eat too much and we drink alcohol.
    Also, in these days, there are all kinds of food in the supermarkets, food with a lot of fat like pizzas, chocolates, ice-creams, cakes, buns or chips. Fifty years ago in Spain it was difficult to find this type of food, but now it?s easy and not very expensive. Young people like this type of food very much. But they are consuming a lot of calories in a few grams. And they can become overweight.
    On the other hand, at present we have more information about what?s better to eat or what?s worse to eat. There are advertising campaigns about eating five (fruits and vegetables), fish, low calories food, etc. And the last campaigns in the schools about eating clementine oranges.
    In conclusion, eating habits are really important for our health. We decide to have bad or healthy eating habits.

My name is Lara and I’m fourteen years old. I would like to tell you about the eating habits of my family. We normally try to eat only healthy food however, it’s not always possible. Speaking about the place, where we eat, I should mention that my mum thinks the background for meal is very important and we agree with her. We are trying to eat at home and we avoid ordering take-away food. My mum is a good cook, so we eat the home-made dishes only. Sometimes on Friday evenings for dinner we go to a restaurant. We normally pick a quiet place with Italian food on the menu. That’s because everyone in our family loves pizza, pasta and risotto. Меня зовут Лара и мне четырнадцать лет. There are weekends when together with family and friends we go on a picnic. That’s where we break the rules of healthy eating. My dad always makes a barbecue there. As you know grilled meat is not very healthy. There are days when we go fishing. In that case he cooks the freshly caught fish. On such days I wish I had been a vegetarian. Anyway, when we are at home, we eat healthy. Бывают выходные дни, когда вместе с семьей и друзьями мы устраиваем пикник. Вот, где мы нарушаем правила здорового питания. Our breakfast consists of either oatmeal or a plateful of cereal. Sometimes my mum makes roasted toasts and an omelette. We drink either orange juice or green tea. We try to avoid black coffee as it’s not very healthy. During the day we eat lots of fruit and vegetables. My mum bakes delicious cakes, but she tries to reduce the amount of sugar. To sum up, I’d like to mention that there are three main components of health lifestyle: healthy eating, physical exercise and leisure activities. Thus, a healthy diet can be good for your overall health. Eating habits. What makes them change through one’s lifetime (social factors, job, aging, etc.).

It is not a secret that our meals influence our mood. Also it is very
important for our health. Every single person should eat proper kinds of
food – dairy products, meats, fruit and vegetables, fats and sugars,
cereals and grains. Dairy products provide us with calcium, meat provide
our bodies with protein, iron, zinc. Eating fruit and vegetables helps
to keep us healthy too because they give us fibre, vitamins and
minerals. We should eat fats and sugars in moderation, because too much
fats and sugars can cause different heart-diseases. Cereals and grains
are important for us because they provide us with the energy we need for
physical activity.
In this fast-moving world it is necessary to watch what we eat – it
should be healthy food, not junk one, which has become very popular.
Eating too much junk food can cause overweight and a heart-disease. For
example, it is much better to eat an apple or a banana than to eat a
double hamburger with ketchup and mayonnaise. You will feel full in both
cases, but a fruit or a vegetable is healthier.
Today there are a lot of different restaurants and cafes where you can
eat delicious and not really expensive food. The service is usually
excellent and friendly waiters help you to relax and enjoy your meal
fully. You can any types of food in restaurants – you can try homemade
cakes, beefsteaks, pasta and macaroni and others. For a main course you
can order fish, meat or chicken with some rice or potatoes, also you can
ask for pasta and salad. You can eat a bowl of ice-cream, a pieces of
apple pie, strawberries with cream or something like that for dessert.
For drink you can order a glass of water or juice, a cup of coffee or
tea or alcohol drink such as wine or beer.
Eating habits are different in different countries. For example,
Brazilians never eat with their hands – they always use a knife and a
fork, even when they eat hotdogs. Finns like to eat hot sausages and
drink beer in the streets; many Philipinos prefer to eat with their
hands. Also they think that it is polite to leave a little food on the
plate at the end of a meal.
Well, as for me I do respect their eating habits and like to eat
different countries’ food such as Italian Pasta, Japanese rice with
sushi or Indian spicy meat. But most of all I like just ice-cream. It
doesn’t matter what kind – with raspberry favor, with marmalade,
chocolate chips or pieces of fruit. I can eat it anytime and anywhere.
But anyways whatever you like you should remember words of wisdom which
say that we eat to live, but not live to eat.

Normally I eat three times a day and have some snack if I feel hungry. Unfortunately, during the working week, I do not have enough time to have a breakfast properly. I have to hurry up, in order not to be late for school. So a just drink tea with a couple of sandwiches. Taking into account that I spend the considerable part of my day at school, I have a lunch there. I either buy something in a school canteen or take a lunch box from home.

Обычно я ем три раза в день и чем-нибудь перекусываю, если чувствую голод. К сожалению, в течение рабочей недели, у меня не хватает времени, чтобы нормально позавтракать. Мне приходится поторопиться, чтобы не опоздать в школу. Поэтому я просто пью чай с парой бутербродов. Учитывая, что я провожу значительную часть моего дня в школе, я обедаю там. Я или покупаю что-то в школьной столовой, или беру обед из дома.

When I come back from school, I have a dinner. My mother is a wonderful cook. She really enjoys cooking and all her dinners are very delicious and various. First of all, I eat some soup. A tomato soup is my favorite. For the main dish, I usually have some meat or chicken with potatoes or vegetables. Sometimes I eat fish or some seafood. Honestly, I do not like at all, but my mother believes that it is of overwhelming importance to eat it from time to time, so as to be healthy. Personally, I like spaghetti with cheese most of all.

At the weekends we sometimes have a dinner at some café. I really love Italian cuisine, especially pizza and pasta that`s why I always ask my parents to go to the Italian restaurant not far from our home. Sometimes my mother bakes something on Sundays. I always try to help her. I find it really interesting and hope that one day I will cook as well as my mother does.

When I go to a restaurant, I always order salmon, because this fish needs to be cooked correctly, which professional chefs do very well.

One of my hobbies is cooking. Every day I try to cook something delicious, especially what my family and I like. I usually cook some kind of everyday food and cakes. I like cooking cakes the most, because it is very interesting and also delicious. For my cakes, I find recipes on the Internet, in books, and sometimes my grandmother tells me them. When the cake is ready, I decorate it beautifully with pastry sprinkles, special edible flowers and cream. Everyone who tried my cakes liked them, because I cooked them with love.

In conclusion, I can say that in Russia everyone can choose the type of food that he likes. As well as Russian cuisine is very diverse and everyone will find something that he likes. I want to talk about eating habits in my country.

About My Eating Habits

Hi, I’m Liza and I’d like to say a few words about my eating habits.

People living in different countries have different eating habits. Every country has its own national dish.

The Ukrainian cuisine is very delicious. We can’t imagine our life without borshch, varenyky, holubtsy,pies and cakes.

The Ukrainians are very famous for their hospitality.

As for me I like eaiting at home. Sometimes my friends and I like going to a cafe to eat pizza or ice-cream.

I’m sure such cafes nd restaurants are popular where cuisine is very delicious and service is perfect.

I try to have good eating habits.

We all need food but we must keep to a balanced diet. A balanced diet consists of things we need to be healthy. There are four main food groups to build our daily menu:

  • milk and dairy products
  • meat and fish
  • vegetables and fruit
  • potatoes and cereals.

Each group is a good source of nutrients.

I try to have good eating habits. I keep to a healthy diet because I want to be strong and healthy, active and lively and look well. I know that it’s better to eat only a little of fatty, sweet, spicy and salty foods. Junk food is bad for our health.

I would describe my eating habits pretty normal for my age. I tend to overeat or don’t eat at all, depends on my mood. I also eat a lot of food, which contain a lot of additives and preservatives. I would like to change them by eating normal proportions every day and to eat all the needed products to gain vitamins. Some problems have come up because of my unhealthy lifestyle like fatigue, which is caused by not receiving enough vitamins and nutrients.

Fast food is very popular nowadays, since it’s cheap, fast and tasty. I’m not a huge fan of it but sometimes if I don’t have time to cook or wait for food, then it’s not a tragedy if I buy some every now and then.
