About myself.

Let
me introduce myself. My name is Helen. I am sixteen. I was born in
Moscow and live in this city. I am a schoolgirl. My school is not far
from my house. It takes me 15 minutes to walk there.

I
am in the eleventh form and this year I am going to finish school.
We’ll have our final exams in June. Now I have to work hard at all
the subjects. I like school. I’m having a great time there. My
favourite subject is English. My teacher is a well-educated woman
with deep knowledge of the subject.

I’m
very busy now preparing for classes and I have a little time for my
hobbies, which are music and reading. I like music, especially, pop
music and I collect CDs of my favourite groups and singers. I’m
fond of pets. I have a cat and some fish, which I take care of every
day. I am keen on reading. My favourite writer is O. Henry.

I’m
also interested in sport. I’m a member of a tennis club, which I
attend twice a week.

I
enjoy school mainly because of the number of friends I have there and
I get on with them. We discuss our school problems and plans for the
future. I also hate being alone. I believe that if I center my full
attention on either one or the other I will lose out somewhere.

I
also take an active part in social life and attend sport clubs. I
really enjoy working with people. I want to be a doctor. It’s a
difficult job, but I’m not keen on the idea of being a
stereotypical housewife. I like the idea of working in a caring
profession.

Everyone in this world has once thought about his or her place in the society and maybe in the whole universe. Every of us tends to feel useful, to be loved by friends and family, to become a good specialist in some area. All this in a way makes us individual, unique and beautiful God’s creatures.

One of most important things that make us happy is, of course, family. In a family you may always find what your soul needs: love, patience, forgiveness, respect and help in difficult situations. From the first minute after we feel mother’s hands we shall always long for parents’ home, their warmth and love. It is not only important, it is crucial in our life what parents give you in childhood, how they treat you, educate you and teach self-esteem and love to the others. We are their mirror, eternal part of them.

Friends play a great part of our life as well.  Everybody needs a warm hand and a shoulder to cry on when it is necessary. Friends are with us in joy and sorrow, when we need help and when we need just to talk, relax and have fun. Although it is difficult today to find a good friend, as we live in a materialistic and cruel world. But still it is worth trying, as friendship is a present that should be kept as a treasure.

And of course without a suitable profession no one can feel a part of the modern society. We choose a profession in order to apply our skills, talents, personal characteristics, to prove ourselves individuals, smart and developed humans. After finishing some education institution we are going to spend a considerable part of time doing a job, tending to promote ourselves. It is important to feel responsible when choosing a job, since all our life and life of our family depends on it. So just let us be happy and open-minded when serving our society with respect and patience.

Все это делает нас в каком-то роде индивидуальными, уникальными и прекрасными Божьими созданиями.

Одна из самых главных вещей, которые делают нашу жизнь счастливой это, конечно, семья. В семье ты всегда можешь найти все, в чем нуждается твоя душа: любовь, терпение, прощение, уважение и помощь в трудных ситуациях. С самой первой минуты, когда мы чувствуем руки матери, мы всегда будем скучать по родительскому дому, их теплу и любви. И это не только важно, это поворотный момент в нашей жизни: то, что родители нам дают в детстве, как они обращаются с тобой, воспитывают в нас самоуважение и любовь к другим. Мы – их зеркало, вечная частичка их.

Друзья также играют важную роль в нашей жизни. Каждому нужна теплая рука и плечо, чтобы поплакать, когда это нужно. Друзья с нами и в радости и в горе, когда нам нужна помощь и когда нам нужно просто поговорить или расслабиться и повеселиться. И хотя сегодня не так уж и просто найти хорошего друга, так как мы живем в материалистичном и жестоком мире, но все же стоит попробовать, так как дружба это подарок, который должен храниться, как сокровище.

И конечно, без подходящей профессии никто не сможет почувствовать себя частью современного общества. Мы выбираем профессию, для того чтобы применить свои навыки, личные качества, таланты, для того чтобы чувствовать себя личностями, умными и развитыми. После окончания какого-то образовательного учреждения мы проведем значительную часть времени на работе, стремясь к продвижению. Это очень важно быть ответственным, выбирая профессию, так как вся наша жизнь и жизнь нашей семьи  зависит от этого. Так давайте же будем счастливыми и искренними в служении обществу.

My World View and the Bible

We tend to think of mankind as the center of the world we live in. We are the smartest, the most intellectual, the most dominant, and the most common thing that we relate to. How did we get here? Simple, God put us on this earth. There is more to it than that though. ?In the beginning? God created man. We can not forget that he created everything around us also, and that he created heaven as well. He created light, dark, plant life, the sky, the oceans, and then he created man. Then God stepped back and looked at all that he had made, and said ?I did a darn good job.?

Sort of like the east coast?s Statue of Liberty and the west coast?s Statue of Responsibility, the bible and ones Christian world view go hand in hand. I can promise you that if the bible doesn?t play a major role in your world view, you are headed down a bumpy road, with no brakes Now don?t get me wrong, I am positive that I am not the most Christian person or the biggest believer one the face of the plant. I am well aware that if there is a major situation in life that I do not know how to take care of, I can count on the bible to point me in the right direction.. The bible is almost like a job description of my way of life and thinking. It is a really great feeling to know you always have something you can turn to in a situation of need, and that is one of the many great things that God has done to make our lives a little bit easier.

We were not the first thing on his list, and we sometimes treat God as though we are the only existing things that he ever created. We act like we, as individuals, are the only things that matters to him, and that our own individual problems are the only thing that matters on this earth. Well, I got an important news flash to everyone that thinks in this direction, God does all of his work with reason, and good intent. There are people dying in other countries, people fighting for their lives in others, and people at war in other places, so there are other more important things going on in our world than our petty problems. That is the most important thing that I believe the bible and God has taught me. When I?m in trouble or need direction, God is there, and if I don?t, he will let me live and learn.

God will also help you in your life, only when you need it, and have a relationship with him, so he knows that you are worthy of his hand. Why should he help you, and aid your life if you are giving no effort to praise him or give back to the world he created? If you think about it, it?s like you stealing from him or taking advantage of him, if you don?t have faith in his works, or don?t try to give back to earth. That is where I think that being a good Christian and having faith in him give you advantages over all other forms of religion.

Unless your name is God or Jesus, sin is a part of your life. How do you know if you are forgiven for your sins? If you to confession, and a priest tells you ?Give me 5 Hail Marys, and you are forgiven?, are you forgiven? No way, can a mortal man EVER forgive you of your sins! The bible and my study of God has brought me to believe in my world view that the only way to be forgiven for sins is to believe in Christ and to have faith in God. If you understand that Jesus died on the cross to relieve you of a life of torment and pain, you will be forgiven of your sins. And if you have faith that God did everything for a reason, and will guide you in the right direction when necessary, you will then be forgiven of your sins. This is a strong belief of my world view, and has really been a strong helper in my decision making. It has really made me think twice about doing some of the stupid things that I have never done, and I owe a lot to Christianity for that.

Cain, Adam and Eve?s son, lead his brother Abel into a field, and attacked Abel until he was dead. ?The Lord said, ?What have you done? Listen! Your brother?s blood cries out to me from the ground. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother?s blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it well no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.? (Genesis 4:5) The lord also states later that anyone that kills Cain, that person will suffer seven times over for vengeance. Knowing that all people are not good at heart, and will not think twice about not treating me and my possessions with respect is not a very comfortable feeling. But also knowing that God will do the necessary punishment for others actions is comforting. I will rest easy knowing that I do not have to take revenge into my own hands, and that God will do what he feels necessary for ?un-Christian actions. In the past I have done things that I regret to people for hurting me or my loved ones, and I am grateful to have a world view now that shows me that I don?t have to stoop to others level and try to get back at anyone.

?So god created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him;? (Genesis 1:27) Man was created by God to live, learn, prosper, grow, have morals, and continue the human race to its fullest. He made us not to praise his every work, because he isn?t selfish. He made man to be good people, in his image and to be thankful for all of the wonderful things that he has given us and for the chance to enjoy life. One thing that I have learned in my studies is that we are given these opportunities with the intent of being in good faith and believing that we are in good hands. And in all honesty if I had to choose whose hands I would put my life in, I think that the one that has the decision to place me in eternal happiness is a good choice. If I continue to live the life I have been living, and continue to prosper and grow, I will gladly be in God?s hands in hope that one day my faith, belief, and world view will cause God to place me in heaven. The bible is the link between my world view and God, and I thank God for giving me the bible to create my world view, and teach me the God?s image and the correct way to look at life.
